Issues to sync Iphone 5 with Itunes

Hi everyone,

 

I am new on this community and as a Iphone's User. Can you guys help me with a sync problem?

 

Itunes is taking ages to recognize my device when I plug it on PC and while it is being recognized, I can not use any function of Itunes, because it keeps freezing. When the device is recognized, I start to sync it and I got the following errors:

 

• Itunes keeps freezing while sync
• I always got a message like this one when I am trying to backup ( Could not backup Iphone, because the backup session failed to start )
• Sync takes forever. Yesterday its frozen trying to sync my apps ( Stopped at 14 of 25 apps )
• It only synced a single music to my device, all other musics are gray colored, and take AGES to sync a single music.
• Using other Sync apps like Syncios and Itools, I could manage the files more easily but still cant play the music on my device, because it is always gray colored.

 

 

What should I do? I am using a Core i5 with 8GB memory ram and Windows 7 Professional 64 bits. Should I try running Itunes on Windows 32 bits?

Having some serious issues with my iPhone and need some advice

I'm going to these two issues which have been occuring with me for the past weeks-

 

1.) I am facing a problem with my iPhone 5's lightning port or the cable. This started happening all of a sudden; one second my phone is charging, and the other it is not. Even if it is slightly moved from its position, it would stop charging, and further shaking starts it again, so on and so forth. At first I thought the issue might be with my cable, so I asked my friend to bring his lightning cable to my house so we could test that. It happened again- one shake the phone will charge, another shake stops it. (Note that any kind of movement does this, not only shaking) I'm a bit skeptical about his (my friend's) cable too, though- it shows NOT CHARGING on his iPad while it is in fact actually charging. His cable is only 3-4 weeks old though, so this confuses me even more. I think the issue might be with my port, but as of now I cannot draw a valid conclusion to my problem.

 

2.) The second problem is that I've noticed my battery drains a **** lot faster now- ever since the first issue started. I manage to get my phone charging by placing it very carefully on the table and it charges overnight. However, when I pick it up in the morning, and read some news, it drains from 100% to 99% in ~60 seconds. This never happened before. Before this, it used to be at 100% for at least 10-15 minutes (might be even more). If I reboot my phone, it shows 100% again, but it still drains a lot faster now. I know because I've been using this phone for the past 4 months now, and I know when it drains and when it does nots

 

Please, help! I need some advice as to how I should approach this problem. My phone is in the warranty period, however, I would like to have an expert's opinion first.

Is anyone else having issues with push email on the new iPhone 5?

My new iPhone 5 is connected to our Exchange acccount.  Push email does not seem to be working on it.  I have to go into the email app and refresh in order to receive new emails.  Before on mi 4S it worked flawlessly.  I've deleted my exchange account, re-added it, disabled LTE, etc...  Seems like push is not working at all I have to manually update it.

iphone 5 Adapter Issues

While driving yesterday I ran into a problem using my iPhone 5 in my car to listen to music.

 

While plugged into my car using an iPhone 30 pin cable with the adapter my iPhone 5 shows that it is charging, but will not play music anymore.  Previously using this set up it both charged and played music.

Later at home, trying to play music through an speaker with a a 30 pin dock and the adapter it again shows that the phone is charging but will not play music.  I have tried blowing on the connector and the in the phone to clear any debris.  Music plays through the phone itself fine, and through headphones, but not through the adapter (however, as stated it charges).

 

I've tried everything I can think of short of hooking it back up to my computer for a fresh install of ios.

 

Any suggestions before I try that?

Why Iphone 5 has so many cosmetic issues?

I'm a big fan of Apple and used Apple products since the Iphone 3G came out. Every time when Apple released new product, it was great gift for myself. I purchased them and loved all devices. However, I am very disappointed becasue of unlocked Iphone 5 which I paid almost $680 on each device. I exchanged 17 times and just backn to 4s. I'm legit and telling you all about my journey on unlocked Iphone 5.

 

The first time that I purchased 5 was last December by using online apple store. The product has scratches on back and nicks on sides. So, I returned and got another one. However, it has same issues and makes me feel nervous. I visit to Nashiville Green Hills Apple store and exchanged 4 times infront of agent, because of same issues. Even, they have dust in camera lens and something shaking inside of the phone. The shaking sound was from the battery which is not sticking inside and make sounds. I returned them all and just left.

 

About a month later, I heard from my friend that Apple fixed those issues. I was stupid that I believed him. Frankly, it takes 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to Nashville Green Hills Apple store from my place. I went to Apple to get another one and opened 3 in front of them again. Dust in camera lens, scratches on front screen, scratches on inside of screen, scratches on back, nicks on side and back, home button scraches, battery fell out and making sounds are what I had it from them in cycle.

 

Well, since last week, my school started spring break. So, me and my friends went to Florida Orlando and Pensacola to get some relax out from school. We decide our mind to visit Apple and find the perfect device which doesn't have any issues. So, we started from online and got one. The screen was left sided with few scratches on back. We exchanged one from Nashville, but it has dust on camera. We stopped by Atlanta premiere mall and got another one and had another dust in camera and scratches on front. Finally, we arrived Orlando and visit the mall to get one. The agent asked me "is the dust in lense effect your photo? why don't you use it? its affordable to take it as new one." I said, "definitely, dust can effect my photo. The dust can make shadow on my photo where the light came from. Also, do you think scratches and dust in camera is the normal for Apple products? if you were me, will you use it as paying $700 in this condition?" He said, "No, well.. I will get another one." I got it from them and left to Disney World to check in. I opened that one at night and another dust came out from lens. So, on my back way from vacation, I visit Birmingham The Summit Apple store. They checked my device and brought new one. I opened it in front of them and nicks, scratches and dust in camera came out. I just asked them to my money back and they are sending me a check by mail. the last place we visit was Nashville which is on our way back home. We asked them, if there is some issues on iphone5 I would just purchase 4s. We opened 5 and find some nicks with scrathes. So, I finally came back to 4s.

 

It can be a real bad luck for me, but 100% is too much for me. Apple, please think what customer wants on product. However, most of store agent were kind, but some are arrogant.

 

I know Apple is the one of biggest and great company, but if you doing like this, it can be an express way to lost your customer or value. I do love Apple, and I'm still using your devices. I am using a Dual- Band Linksys E2500 router with WPA2 Personal (WPA2/AES) enabled. None of my other apple products (iPhone4S, iPhone4, iPad2 and the New iPad) have had problems connecting to my router. But everything changed when I got my iPhone5.

 

Basically the iPhone5 is capable to connect to the WPA2-Personal wifi network but after 1-2min starts to drop network packages, hence, I cannot browse any page (not even the router page 192.168.1.1) even though I still have a valid IP and the wifi icon is shown on my top screen.

 

I pinged the phone from my router diagnostics page and while I can browse the web with the iPhone5, I can see no packages lost. However after 1-2min the iPhone5 cannot open any websites while still connected to the wifi, it starts to show network packages lost.

 

A workaround that I found was to create a "Guest" network (which is not WPA2-Personal) or even WEP. There are no issues when connecting to these alternate networks.

 

Can anyone out there confirm this issue?? Is it software or hardware related?? It seems to me there are issues with WPA2-Personal (WPA2/AES)

iPhone5 iOS6 email issues - missing features

Hi.  I recently received my iPhone 5 with iOS 6 and have added an exchange mail account.  I have seen many discussion regarding issues with push, but push is working fine for me (so far!).  The issue is that I am missing the blue bar across the bottom when in mail, which means I am also missing the button to compose a new mail message.  The problem extends to when I am in an email; I am unable to create a Reply message.  Has anyone seen this issue?  Any suggestions?

iPhone 5 + Issues downloading Podcasts over WIFI networks

Hi All, reading the interwebs I can see many people with the same issue as me, very slow downloading of some some Podcasts using Apples Podcast app, downcast, instacast or icatcher (ie any client) over WIFI only. Just to confirm this is repeatable over quite a number of different podcasts, basically WIFI download is shockingly slow whilst 3G or LTE is super quick.

If I disable WFI and head over to 3G/LTE everything is better, back to any WIFI network and it's advising me approx 1 hour to download the ~50MB audio version of the podcast. Oddly I don't have this issue with the Video vergecast, it downloads solidly over WIFI or 3G/LTE.

This has been driving me nuts for a few months now, I've tried everything I can think of, including open access points, static IP, google dns (rather than local DNS), 6.0.1, 6.0.2, 6.1 (beta), 6.1.1....nothing seems to make a difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions, here are some screen grabs to put things into context:

 

1 - Connected to strong 5.0GHz or 2.5GHz wifi network (timecapsule) with a 116Mbps / 2.4Mbps cable internet link (speeds tested on desktop and iPhone confirm fast speeds), very slow download.

 

2 - Test same download with WIFI disabled, falling back to 3G network with a reasonable signal, speed is far far better

3 - Just to confirm download speed, run a speedtest.net test over wifi network, application maxes out at this speeds and won't report any additional bandwidth

4 - Test WIFI download again to confirm speed issue

6 - Test Video version of theverge cast, super quick download & throughput (same wifi connection), reaches to head and starts scratching

6 - Test original audio download with iCatcher over WIFI, same slow download speed

 

This just doesn't make any sense to me......am I alone? What am I missing?

 

Issue is with Podcast hosting service = Nope, if so would have slow download over both WIFI and 3G/LTE

Issue is with local WIFI network = Nope, tested a few different networks same issue & confirmed speed is available by downloading other podcasts & running speedtest.net app

Issue is with specific app = Nope, can get same result using four different podcast apps

iPhone 5 - New battery issues since 6.1 update

Hello to who will listen,  I have had my iPhone 5 since it's release.  The battery life was never as good as my 4's but I understood this with the new LTE and larger screen it would be expected.  But - I just downloaded the 6.1 update and my battery life is now horrible!  I used to make it through the whole day on a charge but now it's done by 5:00 meaning it's absolutely dead.  I couldn't figure out what was going on until I remembered I did the update on Sunday.  I understand suggesting to shut things off (wifi, LTE, Bluetooth, killing running apps) but these were on before the update without causing me issues.  My wife's iphone 5 doesn't have the update applied and last night it still had a 50% charge left while mine was dead - we each used ours about the same amount of time even.  I believe that Apple needs to issue an update to the 5 owners as well,  This isn't a user issue but an OS issue and how it handles power usage...

iPhone 5 time and date issues

So, I activated my vzw iPhone5 Saturday. Very much enjoying it.  Woke up yesterday and was very confused because my phone thought it was 8/26/12 and 30 minutes later than the actual time.  I reset network settings and it self resolved...until this morning.  I woke up and looked at my phone and had a melt down because my alarm never went off.  I hurriedly got ready and looked at the microwave as I ran out, and it was 30 minutes earlier than my iPhone said. 

My iPhone apparently is doing something weird and reverting to 8/26/12 + 30 minutes while I (and it) sleep.  It throws off iMessage and I'm sure the rest of the date/time dependent apps, so I've turned off the automatic time setting for now, and its fine now (so far lol).  But I would like to know what the real issue is if possible!?! Is it my phone? VZW? Does it matter?
