I can't figure out why my contacts are not syching between my iphone 5 and my macbook pro.

I have iCloud setup to backup my contacts. But I can't find the settings on iTunes to force it to sync and then keep in sync.  :-/

 

iTunes is up-to-date, my iPhone iOS is up to date, my OS on my mac is current.
