I can not get ringtone to appear in itunes 11

Hey guys...this is my problem...I have downloaded a ringtone from the itunes store. I have enabled the ringtone folder in the library( it appears as "TONES" rather than "ringtones". I have selected "add file to library" ...in short I have followed everyone's directions to get this ringtone to appear in the "tones folder" in the library. It will not! it downloads from the itunes store as an m4r file and whether you double click it, add file to tones, manually try to drag and drop or whatever it just will not appear in "tones"

 

I know I am not the only one with this problem! Is it itunes11? Is it me or am I missing a step? I am spending too much time on this..

 

If anyone has the correct answer please help with step by step instructions. I haven't even got to the point of connecting my iphone 5 to itunes to sync it..

I'd like to assign a single ringtone to an entire group in my contacts address book, is there a way to do this?

 

Maybe have one ringtone for all medical contacts, a second ringtone for all family contacts and a third for homeowner contacts...

Lost all sound and ringtone just after upgrade to iOS 6.1

Hi

 

On my brand-new iPhone 5 I have seem to have lost all sound and ringtone just after upgrade to iOS 6.1

A complete reset does not solve this issue.

If I press the volume buttons the internal speaker is shown as output source.

 

Does anyone know how to solve this annoying problem.

iPhone 5 ringtone sync problems

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 6 and it keeps reverting back to the default ringtones on a random basis instead of playing the custom ringtones that I have set up as my usual ringtone (or assigned to specific contacts).

I have iTunes set up to sync all tones so I can't figure out why this is happening. I Googled the issue and found a lot of complaints from back in 2008 when people were having trouble with MobileMe, but nothing for more recent iOS updates or the iPhone 5

Any help would be much appreciated!
